Forum Policy

As a member, you will have access to an online forum of your professional peers. As such, we require that all members behave professionally on our site. To clarify what we mean by professional, here are a few basic rules.

The First Rule

If you post would blatantly contribute to diminishing another member’s enjoyment of the forum, don’t post it. This rule is the basis for the other rules.

The Second Rule

No personal attacks or insults are allowed. This rule mandates that you only attack someone’s line of reasoning, if anything.

The Third Rule (also known as the FYOSR)

Post nothing that you wouldn’t want your Fourteen Year Old Sister to read. Another way to look at this rule is to ask yourself if you’d want your boss, mother, uncle, or someone else you respect to read what you wrote. If the answer is “no,” don’t post it. A rational discussion about sex is fine. If the language is inappropriate for an average newspaper, or if it’s something you wouldn’t hear a CNN anchor say, it is most likely not welcome here.

The Fourth Rule

Post nothing illegal. Links to warez sites, pirated media or child pornography will cause the site owner to pick up the phone and call the authorities. Understand that the owner of this site WILL cooperate with law enforcement to the fullest extent to have your criminal butt thrown in jail.

The Fifth Rule

Don’t be guilty of an “-ism.” This means racism, sexism, or their siblings. Hate literature and the advocacy of violence against other human beings are not permitted in this forum.

The Sixth Rule (also known as the 2-click rule)

You may not link to any pages that break any of the previous rules, especially the FYOSR, within 2 clicks. This means that a link, any link, you provide is the first click and all links on that page are the second click. Any page that breaks this rule will get you moderated, at the very least.
